J’habite le Quartier Bel Air depuis 1990, où mes trois enfants ont grandi, pour le grand bonheur de la famille. 

Je suis retraité, après avoir fait toute ma carrière dans le secteur financier, d’abord dans des banques internationales, et ensuite dans une entreprise informatique belge.

Je partage mes loisirs entre lectures, visites culturelles, voyages et activités politiques.

Motivation

Ma motivation est le service aux habitants, les écouter. J’ai à cœur d’être un point de contact pour les habitants de la commune. Ma vision est que l’élu communal est le lien entre le citoyen et l’administration : d’une part pour entendre les demandes et d’autre part pour expliquer les contraintes administratives. Beaucoup de questions des habitants ont trait aux règles et au suivi des permis urbanistiques. Grâce à la fonction de conseiller communal, on a l’occasion, lors des réunions des commissions, de poser en direct des questions essentielles à l’administration sur des projets concrets et sur l’interprétation des règlements communaux.

Mes priorités : la qualité de vie, l’embellissement de notre environnement (aménagement des ronds-points routiers, installation de paniers de fleurs sur les principales avenues et dans les parcs communaux). Maintenir une gestion financière saine et équilibrée des comptes communaux (recourir à la participation citoyenne plutôt qu’à de coûteux avis extérieurs).

Mon constat : l’informatique et internet ne peuvent se substituer aux relations personnelles et donc avec une administration quelle qu’elle soit.  Les élus doivent créer des moments de rencontre et de disponibilité pour les habitants. Voilà quelques idées essentielles que j’ai plus que jamais envie de concrétiser.

Gemeenteraadslid sinds 2000 Voorzitter van de Financiencommissie (« Ondersteuning ») Lid van de Politieraad. Ik woon sinds 1990 in de wijk Bel Air, waar mijn drie kinderen zijn opgegroeid, tot groot geluk van het gezin. Ik ben met pensioen, nadat ik mijn hele carrière in de financiële sector heb doorgebracht, eerst bij internationale banken en vervolgens bij een Belgisch IT-bedrijf. Mijn vrije tijd deel ik tussen lezen, culturele bezoeken, reizen en politieke activiteiten.

Motivatie

Mijn motivatie is dienstbaarheid aan de inwoners, naar hen luisteren. Het is mijn passie om een aanspreekpunt te zijn voor de inwoners van de gemeente. Mijn visie is dat de gemeentelijke verkozene de schakel is tussen de burger en de administratie: enerzijds om naar de vragen te luisteren en anderzijds om de administratieve beperkingen uit te leggen.

Veel vragen van inwoners hebben betrekking op de regels en de opvolging van bouwvergunningen. Dankzij de functie van gemeenteraadslid heeft men de mogelijkheid om tijdens de commissievergaderingen rechtstreeks essentiële vragen te stellen aan de administratie over concrete projecten en over de interpretatie van de gemeentelijke verordeningen.

Mijn prioriteiten: 

de levenskwaliteit, de verfraaiing van onze omgeving (inrichting van verkeersrondes, plaatsing van bloembakken op de belangrijkste lanen en in de gemeenteparken). Een gezonde en evenwichtige financiële beheer van de gemeentelijke rekeningen behouden (een beroep doen op burgerparticipatie in plaats van op dure externe adviezen).

Mijn vaststelling: informatica en internet kunnen de persoonlijke relaties en dus met een administratie, welke dan ook, niet vervangen. De verkozenen moeten momenten van ontmoeting en beschikbaarheid voor de inwoners creëren. Dit zijn enkele essentiële ideeën die ik meer dan ooit wil realiseren.

Who am I?

Municipal Councilor since 2000 President of the Finance Commission (« Support ») Member of the Police Council.

I have lived in the Bel Air neighborhood since 1990, where my three children grew up, to the great happiness of the family. I am retired, having spent my entire career in the financial sector, first in international banks, and then in a Belgian IT company. I share my leisure time between reading, cultural visits, travel and political activities.

Motivation

My motivation is service to the inhabitants, listening to them. I aim to be a point of contact for the inhabitants of the municipality. My vision is that the elected municipal official is the link between the citizen and the administration: on the one hand to hear the requests and on the other hand to explain the administrative constraints. Many questions from residents relate to the rules and monitoring of urban planning permits. Thanks to the function of municipal councilor, one has the opportunity, during commission meetings, to ask directly essential questions to the administration on concrete projects and on the interpretation of municipal regulations.

My priorities: 

quality of life, beautification of our environment (layout of road roundabouts, installation of flower baskets on the main avenues and in the municipal parks). Maintain a sound and balanced financial management of the municipal accounts (resort to citizen participation rather than costly external advice).

My observation: computer science and the internet cannot replace personal relationships and therefore with any administration whatsoever. Elected officials must create moments of meeting and availability for the inhabitants. These are a few essential ideas that I more than ever want to make concrete.
